Religion
I’m not religious and I dislike Christianity quite a bit as an institution, but I started reading the Bible today. Haven’t picked it up since high school English class. There’s some very wise shit in this thing, but there’s something I don’t get: I was skimming the passages on forgiveness, and if America is run by a bunch of conservative Christians, then why the hell don’t we turn the other cheek more often?
In any case, am I nuts for thinking that the Bible is actually helping me deal?
