Hamlet could almost pass as a piece of furniture in this photo. Like a very elegant foot stool.

One more gratuitous Hamlet photo! (And doesn’t he look quite … coy?) In our household, two out of the three inhabitants do not wear pants on a regular basis.

A pretty typical workday. Me multi-tasking phone and email, my canine intern falling asleep on the job.

    Doggie War

    • P: Hamlet won't move.
    • Me: What do you mean?
    • P: We're having a stand-off.

Reblogging this photo from ages ago, because I miss Hamlet so much! Patrick took this picture in our old apartment with his Leica back in 2008. I can’t believe three living creatures ever fit in that tiny one-bedroom. Or that we’ve been cohabitating that long. (Am I the only person who insists on including the dog as a member of the household?)
Disclaimer: contrary to the above pose, Hamlet doesn’t really do the “stay” command very well. But isn’t he adorable? Well, actually, the jury’s out on that. There are some divisive opinions on the cuteness of bulldogs.

Because I really miss my roomies (both the German one and the Furry one), I’ve been going through some of my favorite photos of them.
I snapped this picture of Hamlet last month in the middle of a storm. He gets really terrified of thunder and always tries to jump into the bathtub (his favorite hiding spot). I decided to help him build a fort so that he’d feel safe while hanging out with me in the living room as I worked.
(This is not his first pillow fort.)
