Housing Lottery
Not to dash anyone’s hopes or anything, but Harvard assigned me to Canaday (hated it), then Mather (hated it), and I eventually transferred to Currier (much better). Next year, when I return, I hope to be affiliated with Eliot, though I won’t be living on campus.
Four different residences in four years? Whether Harvard allows me to do this or not, I’m obviously less than enthused about “House spirit”, which I view as suspiciously as I view patriotism. Think you’re going to fall deeply in love with your House which most certainly must be the BEST. HOUSE. EVER. because you were lotteried into it? Please take a sedative and try not to fall off an Annenberg table.
