The Final Semester
I’m back in Boston, and it’s pretty much exactly how I left it: frigid. Someone remind me why I didn’t go to UCLA.
In any case, I’m only one semester away from graduation. I’m not leaving Boston any time soon, but perhaps, I can flee during the winter when I’ve finally released myself from the shackles of my undergraduate education. This is what stands between me and freedom:
- German Dab: Intermediate German (Intensive)
- Studies of Women, Gender & Sexuality 96-ABL: Feminist Praxis in the Community
- Sociology 98M: Social Class in the United States
- Sociology 99: Senior Tutorial
Don’t ask me why I’m taking five classes for my final semester (the intensive German course is a full year’s worth of credit). I guess I’m taking advantage of the last formal education I’ll likely ever receive. The WGS class is actually a seminar with an internship component (and I’ve applied to an awesome local women’s non-profit), so it won’t be all schoolbooks and papers.
With any luck, I will pass all my classes, receive a degree in sociology (and a secondary in Women, Gender & Sexuality), and have a slightly easier time comprehending German by May 2010. One can hope.
