“How can someone look so good doing something so boring?” I asked him.
I was mostly teasing. I’ve dated guys in business school, law school, and med school. I’ve dated bankers, consultants, actors, musicians, writers, and students. This guy — or rather, “the Guy,” — is by far the least boring, in spite of (because of?) his pursuit of a Ph.D. and all that it entails (i.e. writing academic papers I am not the least bit interested in).
