In Which Lena Goes To New York On The Eve Of A Final
Because that is what one does before one’s last exam, hah!
Okay, to be fair, my last test is in German (so, it’s not terribly hard compared to, say, physics) and Patrick and the pup depart tomorrow for Germany. Instead of wallowing in my sorry lonesome all weekend, I am heading to New York tomorrow and staying until Sunday morning. I get Sunday night to pack, study, and cuddle with Jason.
And in New York, I get to hang out with ADINA who I haven’t seen since she graduated in JUNE. We had one fab summer together in New York, when we both lived there for three months after sophomore year. We also made a return trip to the city during Valentine’s Day weekend in 2008. In short, I cannot really describe in words on the Internet my precise level of excitement, except to say that this occasion calls for the consumption of copious amounts of alcohol and I never drink. (Except for when I do. With Adina!)
Also, we have never simultaneously been in relationships. And certainly not in relationships while in New York City. I don’t really know what the hell we’re going to do all weekend without either of us on the prowl. (Potential answer: drink, drink, and drink some more.)
