I hit up StyleFixx’s Girls’ Night Out tonight and scored a sweet swag bag. A ticket gets you a drink bracelet for five cocktails and access to the five-hour event, which features complimentary beauty treatments, lots of booths with independent merchants, and free snacks (such as samples of different Finale desserts).
I wasn’t blown away by the event (or the long lines at each booth) but it’s not a shabby way to spend a weeknight with friends and you definitely get good bang for your buck. Boston tickets start at $10 (no swag bags) and go up to $30 (with swag bags), though the latter price was slashed to $15 in a GroupOn deal last week. Besides five drinks (which I would not be able to consume in five hours), you also get all this loot in the swag bag (approximate retail prices):
