Email Avalanche
I’m still in the process of cleaning out my inbox, which has been clogged since my birthday last month. It’s been a busy month work-wise, so if I’m not on your payroll, please don’t be insulted I haven’t been prompt in responding!
Work is not going to get any easier soon, but if I don’t start catching up on emails, I will never recover. So, this is a public announcement to everyone who’s sent reader questions, queries about my senior thesis, and press releases that are actually relevant to my blog (as opposed to say, hawking the debut album of an emerging talent in hip-hop — an actual press release I received last week): if you’re waiting for an email from me, you’re probably on my to-do list and getting a response soon. BUT if you don’t hear from me in the next week, send me a reminder! I personally don’t like nudging people on things they owe me, but I definitely like getting nudged, because it makes me actually get crap done. (Plus, there’s always the possibility that I accidentally archived your email, so a friendly reminder is always a good way to go.)
Oh yes, and my Reader Questions queue is seriously backed up. I’m at 165 pending questions at the moment and I’ve been slacking on blogging due to freelance stuff, so please don’t think I’m ignoring you. I’m just crazy behind on everything at the moment. But all those questions related to freelance writing? I’m planning on blogging a lot more about my first year of self-employment, so hopefully, my entries this week will answer some of your inquiries.
