Some scenes from my week:
- Last Sunday’s ridiculously delicious Mexican brunch at Barrio Chino in NYC’s Lower East Side. If you follow my Twitter, you’ve probably heard me complain on more than one occasion that I can’t seem to find good huevos rancheros in Boston. Or Mexican brunch at all, really. NYC is no LA, but I’ll take what I can get, and this was fabulous.
- I got sick of eating tofu. I’ve been having it in a salad that I’ve made far too often, so I mixed it up. This week, I came upon a sweet recipe involving sliced strawberries and a few drizzles of honey. It’s so simple and refreshing. I’m going to use this as an alternative to greek yogurt (my usual breakfast).
- My friend Lingbo visited me! Today, we did brunch with Hamlet and a friend before hitting up a power yoga class. The dog did not come to the latter, but …
- Thanks to the nice weather, Hamlet got a long walk to the South End today. I’m not looking forward to the cold. Not only is my closet totally ill-equipped to handle this upcoming winter, but the dog is not going to be a constant dining companion for much longer :(
Writing-wise, this was not my best week, butttt I’m getting back into blogging. I wonder if the latter is just a distraction from bigger projects at hand. Bleh.
